Run. Hancock Whitney being considered a Bank is about as accurate as McDonald's serving a 5 star burger.
They can't even manage to deposit a check without depositing it, reversing it three times and being unable to figure out how to undo the erroneous process.
Additionally, they lack common technology such ss ATM depositing that most Banks feature. Lastly, don't even think about calling in for support as you'll be on hold for Over 20 minutes (don't worry, the voice recording will tell you the hold time).
Avoid this bank
I have had an account with Whitney Hancock bank for over 8 months with a $1400 direct deposit coming in every two weeks. For the first time in my life I overdrafted my account by $13 and they charged me a $36 fee.
8 days later just before my direct deposit came in they charged me another $36 fee for "sustained" overdraft. $72 in fees for 1 overdraft of $13. I called and took ownership of my mistake thinking at minimum they would meet me half way. They offered me nothing.
The reason... I have been with them less then a year. I politely asked for a manager and was told the same thing.
In addition. As a banker with 11 years experience I strongly feel they design their online banking and statements to make it confusing to know about your balnces.
I can't see my account history from yesterday online once that statement cycle ends. Instead I have to open a statement. The statements are even worse. You can't see your ending balance after each transaction.
They place daily ending balances in a different area of the statement which makes it so that the ending balances don't line up with your charges. You can't see how your balance changed without taking 30 minutes to handwrite your own statement with ending balances.
I have read dozens of different banks statments. Never once have I had to rewrite the statement to understand what happened.
ATM Machine
Two mornings in a row I went to use the ATM machine at the hancock whitney bank on Gauze Blvd in Slidell LA. I believe the address is 2210 E Gauze.
I have been a customer for a long time. I am a American. Both days the machine would not convert to English and I had to discontinue my attempted transactions. This is not acceptable when you cannot get into your account.
I attempted to contact this branch via telephone and received no answer. By chance is this branch closed. Yes I am disappointed. Maybe someone could get the attention of the management and fix this problem.
How does one get to their account of the language is not able to change to that person's background.
I dont' see where there is a block to ask a customer to change to Chinese, Vietamese, Russian, Italian etc. I guess they don't count.
